Medtronic Insulin Pump Training
Medtronic wanted to update their VHS training video to coincide with the launch of a new model of insulin pump. They came to Siren to create an interactive training CD-ROM. Siren created a 3-D model of the pump and incorporated it into Flash animations demonstrating correct sequences of button pushes to program a variety of basic and advanced pump features.
For this training project, Siren also oversaw audio recording and a video shoot to supplement the animation. Live video is included to illustrate aspects of proper pump usage not suited to animation. An audio track accompanies the animation and video sequences throughout the CD.
The CD-ROM is included with every new pump. It has been such a successful training tool that Siren was asked to do an updated version for a new pump model a year later. Siren also developed French and Spanish-language versions of the CD.
