Welcome to the Summer edition of Siren Interactive's newsletter, Adventures in eMarketing.

You may have heard about the recent FDA Letter to Novartis on the Facebook Share widget. However, the letter wasn’t really about Facebook or social sharing widgets, but a lack of fair balance. It was the message not the medium. The content in the Facebook Share widget was pulled from the website’s metadata. To learn more read What’s Metadata & Why Pharma Should Care.

Additionally, Siren’s Director of Search & Innovation, Eileen O’Brien, was quoted in the ClickZ article on this topic: Pharma on Facebook: FDA Cites Novartis Violations.
