Our team of talented and resourceful individuals is composed of content writers, graphic artists, animators, programmers, designers, and software specialists, all of whom have extensive healthcare experience. Our staff is knowledgeable about all of the regulatory, technical, linguistic, and clinical issues which make healthcare communication so challenging. Wendy S. White
Founder & President
Wendy has been leading Siren since 1999 with her uncompromising commitment to excellence, her ability to anticipate client needs, and her understanding of the best uses of new technology.
Under her leadership, Siren has delivered interactive programs for Baxter, Medtronic, ABN AMRO, Transamerica, Motorola, Sprint, and many other corporate clients. Wendy is responsible for Siren's overall business strategy – specialization in the healthcare industry.
Wendy received a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Business Analysis from Indiana University. She is an outgoing public speaker and has spoken in multiple venues across the country on technology-enabled marketing, search engine marketing, and results-oriented marketing. She currently serves on the Communications Committee of the Union League Club of Chicago and is an active member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association.
Frieda Hernandez
VP Business Development
Frieda is uniquely qualified to lead Siren's business development activities with responsibility for revenue growth. She combines proven experience as a sales and marketing professional with a focus on building long-term, mutually profitable client and alliance partnerships.
Frieda was previously Regional Business Development Manager for ExactTarget, an email services provider, where she closed business and managed relationships with retail, publishing, and healthcare industry customers, as well as agency partners in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri. She also has extensive agency experience in integrated marketing and managing relationships with healthcare and pharmaceutical clients like Abbott Labs, TAP Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly and Company, and AstraZeneca. Frieda has held key Marketing, Account Director, and Business Development roles over an 18-year sales and marketing career. She also has an entrepreneurial background that includes developing a wide range of business communication programs with Fortune 100 companies. Frieda was an English major at Illinois Wesleyan University and holds a BS in Business Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
Katie Mihelich
Account Director
Katie has been the primary business contact for Siren's key Fortune 500 healthcare clients since 2000. She is responsible for building effective relationships, facilitating and streamlining communications, and providing continuous improvement to satisfy Siren's clients. Katie directs account strategy and helps healthcare organizations enhance their online presence by leading the delivery of comprehensive web-based programs that meet our clients' business objectives for patients and healthcare professionals.
As Account Director for all Baxter Healthcare Corporation brands, Katie has supervised the development of the successful ARALAST, WinRho, and Immune Disease eMarketing programs. She combines a decade of experience in interactive media with a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Marketing and a Master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communication from Drake University. Katie was honored by the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association as a 2007 Rising Star.
Deborah Handler
Creative Director
Deborah is responsible for the development and delivery of user experience design solutions and serves as the focal point of the creative relationship with Siren clients.
With a combined background working as a Registered Nurse and Interactive Agency Manager for over 20 years, Deborah is uniquely qualified to lead our creative team to develop robust and compelling user experiences that strengthen branding and support businesses strategies.
Previously, Deborah worked at Avenue A/Razorfish where she leveraged her experience to lead multidisciplinary teams to develop digital strategies for Fortune 500 clients such as Dell and Discover Financial Services. As a nurse Deborah spent most of her career as a Certified Diabetes Educator. Deborah has a Masters in Design from the Institute of Design at IIT, a MA in Education from California State, and a BSN from DePaul University.
Governance
Siren Interactive is a woman-owned, Illinois based, S-corporation. Siren has a non-paid Advisory Committee composed of four experienced consulting professionals. The Committee meets four times a year to advance Siren's position in terms of scope of work, professionalism, and communications.
