Siren Interactive Founder and President Honored by PharmaVOICE 100
Oak Park, IL (August 15, 2012) – PharmaVOICE magazine has recognized Siren Interactive Founder and President Wendy White as one of the top 100 most extraordinary leaders in the pharmaceutical industry by naming her to the PharmaVOICE 100. This list of the most inspiring people in the life-science industry includes innovators, game changers, researchers and scientists, clinical experts, technologists, mentors and advocates for patients. White is honored in the entrepreneur category.
She founded Siren Interactive as a woman-owned business in 1999. The agency is focused exclusively on addressing the challenges and unmet needs of patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals dealing with chronic rare disorders, and now leads the industry in digital relationship marketing solutions for this emerging niche. White approaches the business from her unique perspective of being an entrepreneur and digital marketing expert, as well as being the mother of a daughter with a rare disorder that was diagnosed as a direct result of White becoming an empowered caregiver through access to online information.
“I’m sincerely honored to have been selected to join this elite group of pharmaceutical industry leaders,” White said. “This recognition of my achievements also extends to the amazing people who surround me. It’s a collaboration of our clients and my team at Siren Interactive, along with my family and friends. Thank you.”
White was selected for the honor based upon nominations received from clients, contemporaries and colleagues. It recognizes her ability to lead, mentor and inspire others, which is evident in some of her accomplishments. She led Siren’s efforts in 2009 to support the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) in launching the first Rare Disease Day in the United States by creating the online campaign “Alone We Are Rare, Together We Are Strong.” Last year she led the collaboration of 12 fellow rare disease caregivers to coauthor and publish Uncommon Challenges; Shared Journeys: Stories of Love, Hope, and Community by Rare Disease Caregivers. With an exclusive focus on rare disorders, Siren Interactive is gaining global recognition and has been included for the past three years on Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5000 List.
