Frieda Hernandez Represents Siren at HCMA and CBI Emerging Media Conferences
Siren Interactive played an active role in two recent industry conferences - the Healthcare Communications and Marketing Association conference on June 17 – 19, 2009, in Jersey City, NJ, and the Center for Business Intelligence’s 2nd Annual Bio/Pharmaceutical Emerging Media Optimization conference on June 25 – 26, 2009, in Philadelphia, PA.
“These conferences covered the full gamut of concerns that the bio-pharmaceutical marketing industry is wrestling with,” said Frieda Hernandez, VP Business Development, “from the politics of healthcare reform and leading strategic change to the impact of new media on pharmaceutical advertising and gaining regulatory approval and buy-in, and everything in between. At Siren, we feel it’s important to stay abreast of all the issues in order to advise our clients appropriately.”
At HCMA Hernandez participated in a panel regarding “Web Personalization to Build Brands and a Loyal Following” and presented Siren’s perspective on micro-targeting rare disease patient populations with a personalized web experience. Other panelists included Mark Bard of Manhattan Research, Amber Benson of imc2, John Berzolla of S&H Digital, Maryann Kuzel of Harrison & Star, and David Enberg of WebMD. Marah Walsh, Co-founding Partner of PharmaLinx, LLC and Publisher of PharmaVoice, served as moderator for the lively session.
Hernandez also represented Siren at CBI’s 2nd Annual Bio/Pharmaceutical Emerging Media Optimization for Consumer-Focused Marketing. The theme of this year’s conference was “Take Your Campaign from a Monologue to Dialogue Approach to Enhance Patient Engagement,” and attendees were encouraged to contribute in a variety of ways including presentation, discussion, Q&A, blogging, tweeting, etc. Notable interaction opportunities included the presence of two patient bloggers, Kerri Morrone Sparling of Six Until Me and Manny Hernandez of Tudiabetes.com. Cynthia North, Deputy Director of Consumer Marketing for Specialty Medicine, Bayer Healthcare, was Chairperson for the event.
