Tanika Craig Honored as Industry "Rising Star" by Healthcare Businesswomen's Association
Oak Park, IL (May 24, 2010) – Tanika Craig, Account Supervisor at Siren Interactive, was honored as an industry Rising Star by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, at its 21st annual Woman of the Year award luncheon, Thursday, May 6, at the New York City Hilton.
HBA Rising Stars are professionals in various sectors of the healthcare industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advertising, medical education and scientific discovery, among other fields. The nomination demonstrates corporate recognition of the outstanding performance and commitment to excellence. The Rising Stars are inspiring leaders, role models to others and are individually recognized for their vision, dedication and action.
“To me, a leader is selfless,” says Tanika. “Leadership is understanding what others need from you and delivering a solution that meets that need.” Wendy White, Founder & President of Siren, notes: “Tanika exemplifies Siren’s approach to leadership – she leads by example; inspiring and empowering others to reach their highest potential.” As Account Supervisor, Tanika is responsible for client relations for a variety of key accounts. Prior to Siren, Tanika was an Account Director at The Marketing Store Worldwide where she led Asian and African American marketing initiatives for McDonald’s. She obtained her BAS in Business Management from Davenport University.
Tanika’s advice to others? “Continue to develop relationships with others in the industry and always be gracious.”
