Web Developer

Siren Interactive, a leader in online healthcare relationship marketing, is looking for a Web Developer to join our dynamic organization. You would be joining an organization where you can bring your enthusiasm for social media, and interactive solutions and learn and grow with the company.

Our website developers carry out the technological functions in the production of client websites, video products and other online marketing channels. Job responsibilities include developing client websites, e-mail templates, as well as developing database and CMS tools.

The primary function of this position is front-end development: Building websites and e-mails, understanding Flash/ActionScript, mobile, and the social media space. While server side knowledge is a bonus this is not a back-end heavy role, nor is it an IT role.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Production of deliverables from visual design
  • Architecture building
  • Programming, editing and QA testing
  • Audio and video implementation/creation
  • Animation
  • Keep up-to-date on Flash technologies and techniques
  • Follow coding best practices and industry compliance

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, D/X/HTML, CSS
  • Knowledge of various social media APIs
  • Understanding of AJAX, jQuery, server side scripting and CMS; graphic design and web user interactions; SEO best practices
  • Experience in Flash and ActionScript 3
  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with healthcare oriented sites or related industries a plus
